Quantity Surveyor - M&E Services - South London
A global Top 10 Cost and Project Management Consultancy is seeking a specialist M&E Services Quantity Surveyor to meet growing demand within the department at their UK HQ in South London.
This role is ideal for an intermediate level Quantity Surveyor with Mechanical building services experience and a consultancy background.
This consultancy employs over 950 people across 50 offices worldwide including 13 in the UK. Their services cover a wide range of market sectors and include Cost Management; Project Management; Programme Management; Facilities Management and CDMC/Health & Safety Consultancy; and Health Consulting and Capital Projects.
Providing services to commercial and public-sector clients, they play a leading role in some of the largest and highest profile construction projects in the world.

The M&E Services Quantity Surveyor will act as the client representative throughout the design, tender process, bid analysis, design-review management, project and cost management, through to completion, with an emphasis on commercial management.
Project values will usually range between £5m and £50m+. Reporting to a director, you will have responsibility for multiple projects, acting as the sole contact for each client.
Key responsibilities will include the provision of private quantity surveying M&E services in:
- Residential (including high-end)
- Light industrial
- Sustainable/Renewable tech and low-energy solutions
The Successful Quantity Surveyor
This role is ideal for an M&E Services Quantity Surveyor looking for significant career progression and a clear path to further promotion in a highly supportive and meritocratic company.
You will meet most of these criteria:
- 2 to 5 years' experience in private quantity surveying with a Mechanical Services background
- Mechanical building services professional with relevant HNC/D
- Quantity Surveyor with relevant qualifications
- RICS or CIBSE preferred
- Consultancy background is essential
And you will have demonstrable experience of:
- Pre-and post-contract services
- New build and refurbishment
- Feasibility studies
- Unsupervised cost planning and design-to-budget project management
- Tendering / procurement through to final account
- Claims and capital allowances (preferred)
You will also be a roundly skilled and confident professional with ability to work both individually and within a team; excellent interpersonal skills; good IT knowledge (MS office and technical packages); a full, valid driving licence and ability to travel and stay overnight where required.
As well as a clearly defined career progression route, the successful M&E Services Quantity Surveyor will receive:
