The company mainly undertakes brownfield developments in the north Kent / south-east London post codes. Whilst residential schemes form the core of operations they have diversified into mixed use, commercial and office projects.

Graduate Quantity Surveyor. Additional work and a good order book, is good news and means that this growing developer / builder requires an additional Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work with the Quantity Surveyors. To assist in their annual turnover of some 300 units. Enthusiasm and a desire to learn are very important in the successful candidate.
The Company. Involved in a mix of social and private housing, in new build and refurbishment sectors, they specialise in finding and reclaiming sites, identifying their full potential, based on their size, shape, accessibility and immediate surroundings, always taking into account the local planning authority's housing policy.
The Project sizes vary from 25 units to larger developments of 70 plus units, generally in Traditional build though there are also RC flats in single & multiple blocks. Traditional construction will sometimes incorporate masonry and pre-cast floor slabs.
You will need to demonstrate that you are interested in developing a future in construction and Quantity Surveying. Ideally a car driver as you will need to make some site visits. Strong IT, Maths and English communication skills are needed.
Working Conditions. Your working hours would generally be 0800 to 1700 for a 5 day week, with 20 days holiday per year of which 1 week is taken at Xmas. The proposed salary package reflects experience and would be from £25,000 to £30,000, though this is negotiable, based on experience.
