Development Surveyor - Redevelopment & Conversions
Your new role
As Development Surveyor you will be working opposite the group operations manager and reporting to the Managing Director.
Your role will be to manage the identification, planning, & sale of development sites liaising with the operations manager in order to assess the feasibility of each development.
Focusing on the South West London / Surrey area, your role is to identify sites and acquire them for the best possible price in order to maximise profit on the development of these sites.
The business focuses almost exclusively on residential developments, although they have completed a care home development and a golf and country club project as well as some mixed use buildings.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will ideally be a Chartered Member of the RICS and a registered valuer, crucially possessing a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a property related subject, such as surveying or real estate planning.
You will need in depth knowledge of planning and building regulations, as well as a strong working knowledge of market valuations.
You will need to be driven and self motivated, as you will be responsible for creating and managing your own workload.
You will need to be live within a commutable distance of the office, with knowledge on the local property market, ideally having a strong professional network in the area in order to monopolise on successful site acquisitions.
You will need to be a personable and professional individual, as you will not only be representing the business, but also developing your network of clients and collaborators.
You will need to hold a full UK driver's licence and have access to a vehicle as you will need to travel to sites for viewings.
