Building Surveyor (Residential Projects)
Your new role
Your new role will focus on repairs and improvements to managed blocks in the local area. You will be responsible for carrying out inspections to residential blocks on behalf of RMCs (Residential Management Companies) reporting on repairs needed, and creating specifications for work for the client to sign off on. These inspections may relate to external walls / facades, roofing or common areas.
You will work closely with clients providing professional advice to them, confirming scope and specifications for works, agreeing budgets and schedules, shortlisting and advising on contractors, and liaising with clients, leaseholders, tenants, contractors and external consultants throughout the project through to sign-off.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position you will have worked as a building surveyor previously, and will have worked independently on projects / clients.
You will need to be detail oriented, and have a good knowledge of contract administration and specification writing. You will be a personable and professional surveyor, and will feel confident communicating to clients, contractors, consultants etc, acting decisively and assertively when required.
You will ideally live locally to Kingston and hold a fully valid UK driver's license. Access to a vehicle is also essential for this role.
